Woman robbed at knifepoint on Christmas Eve in Todmorden

A woman was robbed at knife point on Christmas Eve as she was loading her vehicle in Todmorden.

The victim, a 32-year-old woman, was packing items into her vehicle at the junction of Rochdale Road and Rise Lane shortly after 2.20pm on Wednesday, December 24, when she was approached by a man armed with a knife.

He demanded the cash box she was holding before fleeing by foot on Rise Lane.

The man is described as being around 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build, and was wearing dark clothing with his face covered during the robbery.

Detective Constable Gordon Little, of Halifax CID, said: “We would urge anyone who saw the robbery itself or a man matching the description given in the area around the time of this offence to call Halifax CID.”
