CycleForWork cavalcade: Schools cheer cyclists through Calderdale
Yesterday the schools lined the streets as the team passed through Walsden, Todmorden, Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd before travelling to Eureka in Halifax.
They were joined by Town Crier Les Cutts, the Mayor of Calderdale Coun John Hardy and children and staff from Ravenscliffe School.

Hide AdChief executive of Community Foundation for Calderdale Steve Duncan, whose idea it was to do the cycle, said: “It was brilliant so thank you. This is half way for the seven of us.”
The team made its way to Eureka in Halifax as part of the nine-day cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
People showed their support for the team armed with flags as part of St George’s Day.
The team is raising funds for 25 apprenticeships in Calderdale.

Hide AdThis morning (Wednesday) they set off at 6.30am for day six of the trip. The riders will travel 11 miles to Carlisle.
