Driver urged to come forward after Huddersfield accident

Police are urging the driver of a black Audi who took an 11-year-old boy home following a collision in Huddersfield in May to come forward.

Officers are not looking for the driver as a suspect for any criminal offences but require his details to complete a file in to the collision.

The collision happened at the junction of Manchester Road, Slaithwaite, and Hollins Row at approximately 5.30pm on Thursday, May 15.

The 11-year-old boy involved, who lives locally, suffered a broken and dislocated ankle.

PC Rick Collins, of the Western Area Safer Roads Team, said: “We would urge this driver or anyone who can assist us in tracing him to call the Western Area Safer Roads Team on 101.”
