E-fit of Bradford assault suspect

Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to following an assault in Bradford.

At about 7.30pm on Friday, December 26, a 50-year-old man was walking near shops on Toller Lane in Heaton, when he was approached by an Asian male who engaged in a verbal altercation with him.

The male then struck him in the face, causing a fractured eye socket and bruising.

The male, who was believed to be accompanied by two or three other Asian males, then ran off towards Duckworth Lane

The suspect is believed to be between 16 and 18 years of age and about 5ft 7ins tall.

He was of medium to stocky build, clean shaven and spoke with a Bradford accent.

Detective Inspector Alan Flynn, of Bradford District CID, said: “We believe that a weapon may have been used in the attack, due to the injuries suffered by the victim.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or recognises this male from this e-fit, or anyone else who witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time of the attack.”
