Fire crews tackle transporter fire in Brighouse

Fire crews tackled a transporter fire in Brighouse last night (Monday).

Firefighters from Rastrick and Cleckheaton were called to Bridge Road at 8.05pm, where they found the transporter with a transit van on the back ablaze.

The cab of the vehicle had set on fire and spread to the transit van. It’s thought the vehicle had been parked up for a couple of days.

Crews managed to contain the fire and used one hose reel and a breathing apparatus wearer at the scene. There were no injuries.

The scene was clear by 8.45pm.
