The George

Matt Parkinson informs me it’s an excellent weekend of sport down at The George with England’s first game in the rugby autumn internationals against South Africa and coverage also of England taking on Scotland. Plus on the Sunday on BBC2, England v Australia in the rugby league four nations.

At the George they will be wearing their poppy’s with pride and invite all to come down for a free whisky or port (whilst stocks last) and share a minute’s silence with them at 11am on Sunday to show respect for the servicemen and woman who lost their lives.

The week after on November 18, they will have a Children In Need party, raising money with raffles and giveaways plus plenty of fun.

DJ Derek will be leading the night.
