Hairdressers aiming to be a cut above for charity

A hairdressers in Brighouse is holding a blow-drying marathon in aid of charity.

Customers can do their bit for Overgate Hospice and the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice by taking part in the new year fundraising effort with a minimum donation of £10.

Co-owner Shelley Greenwood said: “We’ve done a vintage haircuts marathon earlier this year to tie-in with the Vintage Festival which raised money for Help For Heroes, which was very successful.

“We’re right opposite Overgate Hospice in Brighouse and we all have children, so we thought the two charities were good ones to raise money for.”

The event takes place on January 2 and 3 at the shop on Park Row in Brighouse. All proceeds will go to the two charities.
