Help needed to carry boards to create better paths

Following help from a generous local donor and Calderdale Highways, CROWS (Community Rights of Way Service) is now able to put in several boardwalks across some currently impassable paths on Bell House and Erringden Moors above Cragg Vale - Coiners Country.

This is just in time for the publication of Christopher Goddard’s new Coiners walk.

CROWS have cut, drilled and stapled nearly 400 pieces of timber for the boardwalks which will be delivered to Bell House.

CROWS volunteers will need to carry all the timber across the moor from Bell House, so they need loads of walkers, runners and friends to help them take the timber to the boardwalk sites.

CROWS have fixed two days for the Big Carry: Wednesday, May 9 and and Saturday, May 12, both between 10.30am and 3pm.
