Hundreds join in at the festive light switch-on
Hundreds got into the festive spirit in the Calder Valley last weekend to witness the switch on of the Christmas lights.
Excited revellers watched on as Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd were lit up to kick start the beginning of season of good will.
Father Christmas was joined by the Mayor of Hebden Royd Town Council coun Jonathan Timbers and Mytholmroyd Gala Queen Elsa Wilson to switch the sparkling lights on in the St George’s Square, Hebden Bridge and St Michael’s Square.
There were performances from dance group The Magpie Movers, the Hebden Bridge Junior Band and local schools including Hebden Royd, Luddenden Academy and Burnley Road School.
