Overgate’s Community Fundraiser, Lauren Barber, said “Our Memorial Service at the Minster is always emotional but we receive such positive feedback regarding the sense of community

that is felt.

“It can really help people to know that they are not alone in their grief and that a light is burning in memory of their loved one.”

The Light Up a Life Tree of Remembrance is due to be lit this Sunday in the Hospice grounds and all are welcome to attend.

The evening will see musical tributes from the West Yorkshire Police Band, the Elland Male Voice Choir and the St. Patricks School Choir before the tree is lit and time dedicated to quiet thoughts of our loved ones.

All are welcome to attend the tree lighting ceremony from 4pm.

A service will also be held at St. Mary’s Church in Todmorden at the same time.
