Lions bring donations to three charities

Members gave £700 each to Forget Me Not Trust Children’s Hospice, Brighouse Salvation Army and Age UK at their November meeting.

A spokesperson for the Lions said: “Age UK was the favoured charity of Lion Jack Wilson who sadly passed away recently and the donation was given in his memory.

“Brighouse Salvation Army are in dire need of a new commercial oven and hopefully the donation will help towards this.”

Representatives from the charities attended the meeting to receive their cheques and both the Lions members and the recipients enjoyed a pie and pea supper.
