Man assaulted by four men in Huddersfield

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in an incident in Huddersfield.

Kirklees CID would like to speak with anyone who has information about the incident which took place between 8.30pm and 9pm on Wednesday October 29 at an address on Manchester Road, Linthwaite.

It took place after four men arrived at the house, and knocked on the door which was then opened.

Once inside they assaulted the 49-year-old householder leaving him with facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

The first of the suspects was described as a mixed race male, 18-25 years old, 6ft and of skinny build. He was wearing dark bottoms and a camouflage jacket.

Another was described as white, 18 – 25 years and of medium build with light blonde hair. He was wearing a dark top and carrying a man bag over his chest.

The third male was white, 18 – 25 years-old, 5ft10 tall of medium build, wearing a grey hoody.

Finally the fourth suspect was white, 25 years-old, 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black top with grey on the front and had dark hair.

DC Ian Carruthers of Kirklees CID, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this incident and would like to speak to anyone who has information or saw four men fitting these descriptions behaving suspiciously outside the address in the moments before the attack took place.

“Anyone who has information should contact Kirklees CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
