Man critical after quad bike crash

A man remains in a critical condition in hospital following a quad bike crash on Sunday night.

The crash happened at around 8.40pm on Height Road, Midgley, where the rider of a white quad bike is believed to have lost control of the vehicle whilst riding from Hebden Bridge.

The rider, a 33-year-old man, was left with serious injuries and taken to Leeds General Infirmary.

The quad bike is believed to have been travelling in convoy with a second quad bike and a black Audi A4. It is not believed that either the second quad or Audi A4 were directly involved in the crash.

Police Constable Andrew Muskett of the Safer Roads and Neighbourhoods Support Team, said; “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and may have seen the vehicles prior to the incident, or anyone who may have witnessed the collision itself to come forward. Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances of what took place.”
