Matthew's keeping fit for a good cause

A former sapper in the Army is looking to raise money for charity and at the same time knock the citizens of Brighouse into shape.

Matthew Jones, 28, a former Brighouse High School student who went on to join the Territorial Army in 2005 and then two years later as a full-time Army recruit for five years based at Hohne in Germany, has started fitness classes on a Monday at 7pm at St Joseph’s RC Church rooms.

The former Brighouse Juniors footballer is standing the hire fee himself and just asking for donations towards the Walking With The Wounded charity.

“I just want to put something back into a very worthwhile cause while I take these sessions aimed at getting those who attend fit and at the same time giving me confidence as I also train to become a Personal Trainer.

He is being helped in his venture by members of his family.
