Men released on bail over Leeds Christmas Eve shooting

Two men arrested in connection with the shooting of a man in Leeds on Christmas Eve have now been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The men, aged 24 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after they attended a police station in Leeds on Monday.

They were arrested in connection with the shooting of a 25-year-old man in Thornville Road, Burley, near to the junction with Alexandra Road, shortly before 3pm on Wednesday December 24.

The victim was taken to hospital for surgery to serious abdominal injuries and remains in a stable condition.
