Metro bus changes come into force at the weekend

Metro is reminding passengers that details of changes to some bus services in West Yorkshire will start from Saturday April 26.

In Brighouse, new service 257 and revised service 258 will provide an hourly service between Brighouse and Elland, with some afternoon journeys between Elland and Rosemount Estate operating on new service E9.

Services 257 and 258 will be run for free by operator TJ Walsh from Monday April 28 until Saturday May 10.

Service 384 will no longer serve Brighouse, but from Sheepridge will continue back into Huddersfield. It will continue to operate two-hourly, but combined with revised service 385 operating in the opposite direction, an hourly service will operate between Huddersfield and Asda via Birkby, Fixby and Fartown.

Service E8 will now operate every two hours on Saturdays, while service E6 is withdrawn.

In Hebden Bridge, new daily, evening service 594 to Crimsworth is introduced, replacing evening journeys on service 595. The service will operate via the route of service 595 from Hebden Bridge to Crimsworth before returning to Hebden Bridge direct via Keighley Road.

Service 597 will no longer operate into Elphin Court in Mytholmroyd.
