A Halifax teenager who went missing has been safe and well.

Tara Whelan, 18 was last seen in Halifax Town Centre on Market Street on the morning of Tuesday December 15

Police now believe that she was in the Parkinson Lane/Queen’s Road area of Halifax at around 1pm on Tuesday.

A 39-year-old was arrested in connection with the disappearance of the teenager.

Detectives for West Yorkshire Police have confirmed the man has been released from custody.
