Model treatment for youngsters

A parent group has continued its fundraising mission to raise money to renovate a children’s play area.

Organisers put together a “Basically Awesome Hair and Face Painting Day” at Basically Hair in Brighouse where children were given the chance to have a makeover.

Jo Pearson, from the group, said: “The children were made to feel very relaxed by Amanda and Stacey before being given the model treatment with professional hair and then funky face paint.

“As per the poster for the day, there ended up being mostly ice queens and monsters plus a couple of butterflies.

Sainsbury’s provided the party bags and fillers for the day and Woodhouse Londis also provided some sweets. Karen Walton supported the day with professional photography and will give a donation to the group. More than £120 was raised on the day.

The group aims to raise enough funds to redevelop Woodhouse Lane play area.
