Morning travel and weather

Due to overrunning engineering work by Network Rail in the Todmorden area, Northern services between Leeds/Bradford and Manchester Victoria will run to an amended schedule on today.

The majority of services between Leeds/Bradford and Manchester Victoria will operate as normal.

However, there will be extended journey times between Manchester Victoria and Hebden Bridge and some trains calling at Smithy Bridge, Littleborough, Walsden and Todmorden will not operate.

There are no major disruptions on the roads.

Today’s weather will Feel much cooler as brisk winds from the north or northeast develop, with cloudy skies.

Rain affect many areas, with some quite heavy bursts at times but will ease during the evening. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight will stay cloudy with further bursts of rain, mainly after midnight. Turning misty for hills and coasts, with quite strong northeast winds developing later in the night. Minimum temperature 9 °C.
