Musicians urged to help Harrogate charity
Disability Action Yorkshire is asking for volunteers to help residents at its Claro Road care home to plant and grow more fruit and vegetables in the home’s garden beds.
This year the charity has helped residents to plant and harvest a number of beans and vegetables including runner beans, rhubarb and cabbages.

Hide AdCare Home Manager Steven Taylor said: “The residents love the garden and, naturally, eating the fruits of their labour!”
Anyone musically talented who could ‘bring their instruments along to play for the residents’ is also wanted or ‘those who are IT-savvy to help with computers’ and other technology issues.
The residents at Claro Road, aged 18 to 65, are given training and support to lead as independent lives as possible, and aims to help them move into their own home within two years.
