Open event marks milestone day

Brighouse charity Support and Care After Road Death (SCARD) will celebrate its first year anniversary of moving back into the town by holding an open day.

Along with partners Campaign Against Drink Driving (CADD) it moved from its premises in Mirfield and re-located to office premises in Market Street, Brighouse.

To celebrate this anniversary the charity is inviting people to come along to its offices on Saturday, October 18, between 11am and 2pm, when they can find out what it does and hear about volunteering opportunities for people to become involved in its work. People can learn about its workshops for children in schools, focusing on different aspects of road/car crime and social responsibility, and its victim impact seminars.
