Letter: Hospital needs extra parking

I was recently having treatment at Calderdale Royal Hospital and in the middle of this the doctor was summoned to move her car as she was blocking another doctor in.

She told me that this happens daily although they have £20 taken from their salary to park.

I was told they had to double park because it was for doctors and wasn’t big enough.

Parking for patients and visitors is bad enough, but when medical staff cannot park and are charged for it and have to break off procedures then something needs to be done, pronto.

Three hundred extra beds if they close Huddersfield. Where are the parking places for those?
