Overgate Hospice thanks Midnight Walkers for raising over £85,000

This makes the 2017 Midnight Walk the biggest fundraising event the Hospice has ever seen.

Over 1,150 people left North Bridge Leisure Centre at Midnight on September 9th to take part in a challenging 13 or 7 mile route to raise money for the Hospice.

Overgate relies on sponsorship money from events to generate much needed funds for the Hospice. The fundraising team need to raise a massive £6,800 each day just to keep the doors open and that could not be done without the support of our amazing walkers!

Events Fundraiser Rebecca Ryan said ‘All of the team at Overgate would like to extend a massive thank you to our walkers for both making the night the success that it was and helping us to continue to provide the services we provide. This is the biggest Midnight Walk we have ever seen and the continued support of the community is extremely humbling.’

Participation in Registration for the Midnight Walk 2018, taking place on Saturday 8th September, will open in January and will be available at a reduced rate for the first month of the year.
