11-year-old Jonas raises hundreds for charity

An 11-year-old boy from Greetland has raised hundreds of pounds for charity by having his hair cut off.

Jonas Barker who attends Greetland Academy, had grown his hair for around three years before having it cut off at Bilouair in West Vale by Donna Harris, who did it for free.

Jonas’ proud mum Helen said: “When he said he wanted to get it cut I suggested to him about The Little Princess Trust and explained what they do and that we could do some fundraising at the same time for The Forget Me Not Hospice in Huddersfield.

“I am so proud of him for doing this as it is such a big change and he loves it. He he has raised over £350 so far.”
