"It's been a rubbish year.

"I want to do all I can to cheer the children up who are stuck in hospital.

"I'm hoping our local community and the region's businesses will come together to help us reach our fundraising target and do something wonderful to end such a terrible year."

As part of the campaign, Mrs Denby will be personally donating an extra 10% of the total amount raised in additional books.
