The blankets have been made by The Framework Knitters, whose community project has seen more than 400 volunteers from across the UK take part, either through knitting, donating wool or sewing.

More than 12,000 knitted squares have been donated with volunteers sewing up the squares into blankets.

The five charities who will share the proceeds of the auction are Action Homeless, Leicester; Glass Door, London; Meadows Hope Food Bank, Nottingham; Small Acts of Kindness, Watford; SmartMove, Calderdale.

SmartMove were also donated 15 blankets to us for their clients.
