Due to Covid-19 Overgate Hospice have had to make the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Midnight Walk, but this new challenge is something they hope the community will get involved with.

Event organiser Jess Bailey said: “We’re all behind this new challenge and can’t wait to see everyone out and about across Calderdale walking their favourite Midnight Walk Routes from the past 12 years.

Sarah Page, Volunteer Coordinator at the Hospice, said: “I’m taking part in this year’s Steptember challenge with some my family and friend, and have decided to re-do the route I walked back in 2014.

“We haven’t seen each other during lockdown and decided this was a perfect opportunity to get together and support a worthy cause.

“We’ll be doing the route on Saturday 19th September. If anyone sees us along the way, please give us a wave or make a donation in our collecting tubs.”
