Fourteen Calderdale people celebrate lottery win

Fourteen people in Todmorden were celebrating at the weekend after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.

The neighbours netted the windfall when their OL14 postcode was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Sunday (January 24).

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his well-wishes to the winners. He said: “A big congratulations to all those who have picked up a prize today in Todmorden. I hope you treat yourselves to something special with the cash.”

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted on behalf of Postcode Culture Trust which has a mission to inspire learning, understanding and appreciation of science, music, arts and culture.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
