Put a spring in your step for special school
Calderdale residents are being called upon to take part in the Spring Walk for Spring Hall - a community campaign to help raise £500k to equip Ravenscliffe High School’s, Skircoat Green, Halifax, new sixth form centre at nearby Spring Hall.
On April 26, walkers are being asked to walk five miles along the Calder and Hebble Navigation from Brighouse’s Waterfront Hotel, Huddersfield Road, to Copley Cricket Club, Copley, - where participants are invited, from 4pm, for food and drinks.

Walkers who finish off at Copley Cricket Club will get to watch a video link of the brothers’ challenge.
It is hoped Spring Walk for Spring Hall and Aim Higher will raise £10,000 towards the cost of equipping Ravenscliffe@SpringHall with special equipment to teach 11-19-year-olds with special educational needs.
If you can’t make the date - fear not. Hold your own walk anytime and donate the money raised to www.virginmoneygiving.com/bigwalkingweekend - don’t forget to tweet @brighouse_echo with your walking pictures.
