Rotary Clubs give £22,000 cash boost to food banks and hospices

Foodbanks and Hospices across Calderdale and Kirklees have received a generous cash boost from Rotary Clubs in district 1040.

The clubs have released £22,000 of their emergency funds to help organisations in Brighouse, Denby Dale, Elland, Halifax, r, Hebden Bridge, Huddersfield, Huddersfield, Holmfirth, Sowerby Bridge and Todmorden.

Overgate CEO Janet Cawtheray said: "We value all the support that we have received from Rotarians over many many years but at a time when we are in such challenging times it is appreciated even more.

"Thank you all so much. It really will make a difference to us maintaining the services we offer to those patients and families going through difficult times in coping with a life limiting illness."
