Update video: Pace Egg plays bring out the crowds
Families took advantage of the better weather and enjoyed a series of Pace Egg plays in the Calder Valley.
Students from Calder High School were busy performing their version in the Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd areas.
And, since 1979 a cast of adults has performed at Weaver’s Square, Heptonstall (see video).
The plays date back centuries and have a re-birth theme and the hero St George triumphs over evil.
