Performers shine in Pace Egg plays

Visitors have been basking in the sun and enjoying the annual Pace Egg plays in Calderdale.

The Pace Egg is based on the oldest play in the world, The Mummers Play, with the characters St George, Bold Slasher and the infamous Toss Pot.

Performances have been happening throughout the day with the Heptonstall Players’ putting on their show in Weaver’s Square.

Students from Calder High School have also been performing the seasonal play to crowds.
