Planning was permitted after being previously refused for the building of four properties on land to the south of Lillands Lane, Brighouse, which has been part of the applicant’s property for over 20 years. The application was subsequently deferred to assess the impact on open space in the area.

Landowner and applicant Mrs Tasker Firth has contributed over £20,000 towards the improvement of open space facilities within the local vicinity.

It is the second approved planning in the area recently. Permission was granted for an application to build nine properties, to the west of the proposed site.

The application was passed by all councillors on the planning committee subject to conditions - including traffic calming measures on Lillands Lane.
