Police appeal after cyclist injured in Brighouse

Police are appealing for information after a cyclist suffered head injuries in an incident in Brighouse.

At about 3.25pm on Friday, June 20, a 54-year-old man was riding a purple racing bike along the A644 towards Cooper Bridge, when he came off his cycle and hit his head on the kerb.

He was taken to hospital where he remains today in a serious condition.

PC Nick Good of the Western Area Roads Policing Unit, said:

“There were a number of vehicles which overtook the cyclist just before this happened, and we would be keen to speak to anyone who might have witnessed the incident.”
