Police given the cold shoulder during charity challenge
District Commander Chief Superintendent Angela Williams led from the front as officers from all across Calderdale took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge on Monday.
During a meal break, officers were drenched in ice cold water by firefighters from Halifax Station.

Hide AdChief Superintendent Williams said: “This was a bit of fun and all in a good cause.
“We did it in our own time and made sure the uniforms weren’t ruined and although we are still collecting the money I know there has already been a lot of money coming in for charity.
“I would like to thank Asda for providing the ice that froze us all and PC Lisa McDonald who organised everything.
“We have now nominated the four other districts - Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield and Kirklees - so now’s the time to get wet!”
