Police investigate indecent exposure incidents in Brighouse

Two incidents of indecent exposure are being investigating at Brighouse Train Station.

PC Amy Johnston, an officer with British Transport Police is investigating one of the incidents.

“On Monday, February 4, around 11.15am, a man was seen by a 29-year-old woman to be touching himsel indecently on the platform.

“Despite noticing that the woman had seen him, the man continued to touch himself and stared at her, making her feel uncomfortable.”

The man is described as white, around 5ft 9ins, and was wearing a dark brown leather jacket with a hood and grey jogging bottoms.

PC Tahira Bibi, investigating a second incident, said: “The second incident took place on Thursday, March 14, when a 16-year-old girl was on a train waiting at the station at 8.15am.

“When she looked out of the window, she noticed a man on the platform, who then indecently exposed himself to her.”

He is described as aged in his mid-to-late forties, wearing a beige jacket and had short brown hair.

PC Bibi added: “Although incidents like this are rare on the rail network, these were clearly very frightening and upsetting ordeals for the victims and we’ll do all we can to find the men responsible.

“If you were at the station on either of these days, and witnessed the incidents, or saw anything you think may help us with our investigation, then we’d like to hear from you.”
