It is hoped the works will be completed within four weeks, but during the closure times no vehicles will be able to access the road and any vehicles already parked on the road will need to be moved by 9.15am if they are needed during the day.

The waste collections service is aware of the closure and will make necessary arrangements to collect refuse. Access for emergency services will be provided if required.

Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, Coun Barry Collins, said: “I’d like to thank people in advance for their patience while these essential works are being carried out.

“Unfortunately the road closure is unavoidable, but the work will be completed as quickly as possible, and we will do all that we can to minimise disruption to road users, residents and businesses in the area while it is taking place.”
