Salon team’s hair-raising effort
Their hard work and fantastic client involvement paid off and the team raised a total of £311.
The salon, on Bradford Road, Brighouse, held a raffle with a range of prizes including luxury treatments, cuts and blow-dries. The team wore purple to show their support of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and to raise awareness of its work.

Gary Taylor, owner of Edward and Co, said: “We love to get involved and support local charities to connect with the community and raise money for such brilliant organisations. For me, anything we can do as a salon to help children battling life-threatening conditions is a great thing to be a part of and the clients have been fantastic in supporting us. We even had a ‘swear jar’ circulating the salon floor – it cost me a fortune.
“We are really pleased and thankful for the support of our clients and the team are looking forward to holding some more charity days later in the year.”
