School impressed inspectors

Oftsed inspectors have been impressed by the rate of improvement at Bailiff Bridge Primary School.

The school in Victoria Road has been judged to be good with outstanding features in its inspection compared to its report in March 2011 when it was rated ‘satisfactory’.

The report said: “The headteacher and senior leaders have transformed the quality of provision within the school leading to effective teaching and significant improvements to the pupils’ achievement.

Head teacher Helen Proctor said she was delighted. “Everyone in our Bailiff Bridge team has worked incredibly hard for this result.

“The inspectors were very fair in their judgement of our school and we will welcome the opportunity to further develop to work towards an outstanding judgement in the future.”
