Sew much to see at textile tea party

Are you a creative crafter? Then a new Textile Tea Party will be the perfect opportunity to show off your creations.

The Mayor of Calderdale, Councillor Lisa Lambert, and the Staying Well Project, are inviting all stitching groups from across Calderdale to the party, which will be held at Halifax Town Hall on Friday, November 6. It will be a chance to meet sewing and knitting groups from across the borough and display your own craft. Display tables will be provided and you can hang larger pieces from the balcony.

Halifax New Library Textile Group, along with many others, will show their work at the event. Annie Lancaster and Myra Gannon,of the group, said: “Different members of the group have their own areas of expertise which they are able to impart to the rest of the team. We have all learned a lot of new techniques during this process.”
