Hide AdHalifax chairman David Bosomworth said the minute’s silence was a fitting tribute.
“It’s been a sombre day behind the scenes and it becomes more poignant when this time last week Debbie was doing her job and this time this week she isn’t,” he said.
“It’s ever so sad but I thought (the minute’s silence) was beautifully observed.
“We’ve had lots of testimonials and so on, we couldn’t get them all in the programme.

The Town chairman admitted it had been a difficult week at the club.
He added: “It’s been a very difficult week. We don’t want too many of those.
“I know because of her love of her job and of sport, the one thing she would have said is the show has to go on.
