Votes cast in the Bethel Street branch have decided how £1,000 should be shared between the good causes in the society’s Charity Choices campaign.

After a two week voting period The Faye Knowles Chapman Foundation received £500; SCARD received £300 and Yorkshire Children’s Centre received £200.

The campaign was supported by the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation, which is funded by the society’s innovative community scheme, Small Change Big Difference.

“We had a brilliant response to the campaign from our members, local shoppers and residents, but of course the real winners here are the charities – all of whom do a fantastic job of providing invaluable support in our local community,” said Benjamin Merritt, manager at the Brighouse branch of Yorkshire Building Society.
