Snow predicted to last until Thursday

Forecasters are predicting that the snow will continue until Thursday.

The Met Office says it will be very cold with a brisk wind throughout today. But this evening slight snow showers are expected.

Temperatures will probably stay at around minus one degree celsuis but it will feel more like minus seven degrees.

A warning for ice has been issued for overnight.

Meanwhile light snow showers are predicted for most of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning. Temperatures will be between zero and minus three degrees celsius.

The A672 Ripponden Road between Rishworth Moor and Denshaw crossroads has been closed today because of snow.
