PC James Moriarty of the Halifax North Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are investigating this incident in which fishing equipment worth several thousand pounds has been taken.

“Due to the quantity and bulk of the items taken we believe that the thieves would have used a van or large vehicle to transport them away from the scene.

“I would like to speak to anyone who saw suspicious behaviour in the area on the night of the 25th or who has perhaps seen or been offered equipment matching the descriptions of the stolen items for sale in the local area.”

Anyone who has information is asked to contact Halifax North Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101. Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
