Copies of the 2016 calendar, which will benefit two charities, have been selling well and organisers hope they will prove the perfect last minute stocking filler this Christmas, with still time to snap them up!

Eight volunteer male models are baring - almost - all to boost two charities close to their hearts.

The lads, from Todmorden, volunteered to help Jack’s House pub customer Amber Aspinall realise the calendar, and now The Calendar Boys 2016 calendar is on sale.

Amber has been fighting cancer since she was 19.

Now in remission, she wanted to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust which has given her a lot of help.

And following the recent death of Ben McKeever, a friend of many at Jack’s House, it will also raise money for the Diabetes UK charity in his memory.

Jack’s House landlady Sue Landale, said: “They’ve been going very well and we’re on a sales drive for Christmas to sell as many as possible.

“Everybody seems to like them - they’re a funny Christmas gift for two good causes and they are safe enough to take home to your mum!”

Costing £5 they are available at Jack’s House, Burnley Road, Todmorden; fashion shop Halo at Patmos, Burnley Road, Todmorden; and Buttylicious, Halifax Road, Todmorden.

Calendar photographer Tessa Kerr of Two Islands Photography has also been taking copies out with her when she attends Christmas fairs - she has a range of Hebden Bridge and Todmorden images of classic views from around the district which she has taken made up into 500 and 400-piece Calder Valley jigsaws.

Chris Hall of Lambert Print and Design, Hebden Bridge, is printing up extra supplies of the calendars as they are needed.

All involved have given their services for free to help maximise the amount raised.
