The top six takeaways in Yorkshire that received the most public votes have made it through to the prestigious national awards ceremony on November 12 at The Savoy in London.

To determine the region’s winner, each of the finalists will now be marked on a mystery shop, and will provide a written submission on why they deserve to win.

A panel of judges, including restaurant industry innovator and businesswoman, former star of BBC2 Dragon’s Den Sarah Willingham and UK Managing Director of Just Eat Graham Corfield, will review the results and identify the 12 regional winners and the overall victor for Best Takeaway in Britain.

Graham Corfield, UK Managing Director of Just Eat and 2018 BTAs judge says: “Making it to the list of the top six takeaways in the Yorkshire is a great achievement as it means customers believe they are providing great food and excellent customer service. With competition at such a high, it’s going to be a difficult choice picking a worthy winner.“

In total, 16 coveted awards will be presented. The Best Takeaway in each of the 12 regions and winners of the Judges’ Awards will receive £1,000 and free sign up to Just Eat, or their sign-up fee returned if they are already a partner.

One of the regional winners will then go on to be awarded Best Takeaway in Britain and receive a further cheque for £5,000.
