Top tips to achieve your fitness New Year’s Resolutions

The manager of a Halifax gym has offered his top tips on how to reach your New Year’s health and fitness goals.

After weeks of festive indulgence, the time has come to make your resolutions for the 2015 year and for many, they include getting fit and fab.

Tom Hoesli, general manager at PureGym Halifax, has offered some no fail tips to help you stick to your New Year resolutions.

He suggests that people should plan their week out in advance, adopting the ‘fail to plan, plan to fail’ motto.

Other ideas from Tom include having a training buddy, making class appointments, setting achievable targets and having a timescale.

To help you get in to tip top shape, there are various deals around the borough at the moment offered by Calderdale COuncil.

Consultant in Public Health for Calderdale Council, Dean Wallace, said: “Eating a healthy, balanced diet is an important way to help you feel your best.

“It’s that time of year when we set goals, but it’s important to take small steps and stick to them; for example swapping one unhealthy food item for a healthy item for a month.
