Brighouse road closed due to high voltage cable fault
A Brighouse road into the town centre will be closed for up to 48 hours due to repair work.
Calderdale Highways department has confirmed that Bridge End will be shut for the next due to a high voltage cable fault.
Calderdale Council’s Head of Planning and Highways, Geoff Willerton, said: “Bridge End in Brighouse is currently closed while Northernpowergrid undertake essential works.
“Repairs are being carried out on a fault in the electrical main. The road is closed from the junction of the A643 to Gooder Lane, and is expected to reopen within 48 hours.”
