Five minutes of hail caused £1,400 damage to BMW cars
Thunderstorms and huge hailstones for five minutes caused damage totalling £1,400 to a couple’s new BMW cars.
Gary Hickey from Fountain Head Village in Ovenden woke last night to see lightning and hailstones but it wasn’t until the next morning he made the discovery of what the weather had done.
He found numerous dents to the roof of their cars which will now cost over a thousand pounds to repair.
“I thought the world was coming to an end, we had no win or rain and it was boiling then that.
“I have never seen anything like it, I thought it was a hurricane or tornado.”
