Twenty evacuated from coach fire

Twenty passengers had to be evacuated when a coach caught fire in Hebden Bridge.

The incident occurred at 10.21am on Keighley Road with fire crews attending from Todmorden, Mytholmroyd and Halifax.

The passengers were already evacuated by the time fire crews got to the scene and there are no reports of any injuries.

Four pumps were used to tackle the blaze which firefighters say affected 80 per cent of the vehicle.

Four breathing apparatus and two hose reels were also used.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
